...vintage Versace Jewelry on Ebay, if only we could afford it!

Mariah Carey ft Nicki Minaj - Up Out My Face

Paris Couture.

So today we have Elie Saab, Valentino and Jean Paul Gautier, exciting times!
So we'll look at Elie Saab first and as usual we got exactly what we expect, ridiculously luxurious red carpet dresses. This season he went a bit more subtle on the Hollywood glamor than usual, but there was still plenty of sparkles to make sure his dresses will be seen on red carpets around the world. Again we see the Neutral/Candy Floss/Pastel colour palette we've seen popping up all over the place, shame he chose to work with just a few dress shapes as it doesn't give him much opportunity to stand out- as style.com says 'it was just a bit too fantasy-prom to cut it in Couture week' OUCH!

Next up, Jean Paul Gautier and I gota say I'm a bit disappointed here. There are some beautiful pieces in this collection but overall it's just a bit, well bluegh, not the standard we are used to seeing. I've but the good looks and some of the bad ones in there for you.

And finally Valentino designed by Pier Paolo Piccioli and Maria Grazia Chiuri, and again disappointing! The first few looks were exciting and refreshing but it went a bit downhill from there. There were some real stand out pieces but unfortunately there were more what the fuck is that, a first year fashion student could do better pieces. As always the stand out pieces were the full length ball gowns so at least they got that right but come on guys, you can do better and you really must!

Amsterdam International Fashion Week

So it all kicked off yesterday in the Dam.......fashion people everywhere! I always think that Dam and Fashion Week go very well together, one day soon I'm gonna go there lean off my face and catch all the clothes and be blown away and deeply inspired!! haha

Seriously though, some of the shows so far look alright still. Running from 27th-31st January, we are getting a look at A/W 2010, gosh these dates come around quick, no rest for the fashion wicked!

No pics as yet, but when the pics start flying over the internet and little boffins have made their videos of coverage from the shows, we will be updating!

Keep checking the website for more info.

Hunk of the Hump.

Inspired by Precious, I have decided to pick Lenny Kravitz as our Hunk of the Hump. Lenny has a small role in the film as a nurse, I was quite shocked coz he's actually a pretty good actor. Anyway you know the drill I aint gonna spend the next hour writing up his life story, so click here if you wanna know, other wise just go down for some yummy pics!

We are all Precious...

So me and CometGirl just went to the 1Xtra screening of Precious at the Mayfair Hotel which was pretty cool. The hotel staff were pretty retarded and the popcorn was for people like Gemma and Sarah Jane Crawford, both presenters on BBC 1 Xtra...It was all good though because CG managed to rob some popcorn up at the end of the film which we ate on the way home, score!!

So, about the film. In terms of the storyline I actually was expecting more, but that's always the problem when a book is turned into a film. For so many stories to be portrayed through one character, I personally thought was a lot. Bits of it felt dis-jointed and and there was a lot of dialogue which was the main narrative of the film, this meant that they could get away with not showing all of the awful deeds that really took place, and trust, some of the shit is unbelievable!

The acting though, boy, Mariah,Paula Patton, Monique and Gabby Sidibe killed it.....As expected Mariah was stand out for me, I know there is a lot of hype around the main character but I felt that Mariah (who plays the social worker) and Monique (Precious' mother) were the best characters in the film. It's mad seeing MC with no make-up on either, but I feel so proud of her!! Go Mariah!

It hits cinemas soon, so go and shed some tears, coz believe they will fall!
