Ananas Store Opening

ANANAS ANNOUNCES THE OPENING OF ITS FIRST BOUTIQUE IN NEW YORK CITY!

The Store:

New York, March 17, 2008 – For the first time, Ananas Collection, the best-selling line of handbags from New York, is opening a permanent store at 248 Elizabeth Street in New York’s NoLita neighborhood.

Following the success of the second Ananas pop up store, which ran at the location from February 25th to March 15th, designer Jennifer Baum Lagdameo has decided to keep and officially open the label’s first Manhattan store. Lagdameo is thrilled to offer loyal Ananas fans an entire Ananas shopping experience, housed at a premiere New York shopping destination.

The Designer:

Brooklyn based Jennifer Lagdameo launched Ananas in 2004. The line of vintage-inspired handbags is hand made in New York City. With a signature printed lining from a photograph Lagdameo took in Paris, many Ananas handbags combine rich Italian leathers with natural embellishments and customized wooden hardware from the Philippines. In support of this area of the world and its precious natural resources, Ananas has teamed up with the organization “Trees for the Future” (www.plant-trees.org), a non-profit organization that restores tree loss to areas most affected by de-forestation. For each bag purchased from Ananas Collection, a tree in planted in the Philippines. For each bag purchased from Ananas’ eco-collection (collection made entirely from natural materials) 10 trees are planted in the Philippines. Celebrity fans of the label include Anne Hathaway, Cameron Diaz, Jennifer Garner and Meg White of the White Stripes.

Where to head to:

248 Elizabeth Street, between Houston and PrincePh: (212) 925-2502

Long time no post!

Howdy doody people, I am aware that I have taken an absolute age to place a new post on here, and my apologies! I am currently in Buenos Aires at the moment, paying for internet use and having a whale of a time!, so slightly disregarded the blog! I am going to try and keep more on top of it.
Some say no news is good news, but not when it comes to fashion!
