Just be Good to Me!

I'm putting this up here mostly because I luuurve all the garms in this video. There is not one thing (bar what PG is wearin) that I wouldn't love to have in my wardrobe. I also really like Professor Green......Enjoy.

Thierry Le Goues “Amazones”

Swear down, Kanye West has got some 'on it' contributers man. I wish I had a job where I could sit about and research interesting $hit all day and then blog about it and then get paid serious dough!......Anyways nuff of my daydreeaming, I saw these pictures on Kanye's 'fashion' section of his blog and was blown away. They straight away reminded me of the artwork in 'Belly' (a film Hype Williams) which is one of my favourite films. If you have seen the film, you will remember the iconic image above.

Make sure you check his website Thierry Le Goues!

Haaawt alert!

I don't ever buy GQ Magazine as it's not really one that has ever grabbed my attention, but daaaaaamn this shoot is hot! The styling is on point and definatey makes me wanna step out in some bondage gear and just throw a trucker shirt over it!

Graduate Fashion Week 2010

Is upon us again! God I remember when I was at uni, (which seems like time ago) and was proper $hitting myself about the final selections.......savage. It's like anything that you are nervous about, after it's happened your like 'why did I worry so much?'. But I feel for all the students who have been going through the dramas of putting together and finalising their collections ready for GFW 2010.

Running from 6th-10th June at Earls Court 2, this year looks set to be another interesting foray into the future of fashion. So make sure you visit the static exhibitions, and if you haven't got a ticket for the gala show, get on dat! Tickets available on the website (link above).

No hats, No trainers

Is a new young person's show from the BBC, it's a kinda young "urban" (eurgh hate that word) programme looking at music, sports, arts, fashion and culture. Its hosted by 1Xtra's Mista Jam and features some funny bits from Skillit and The Cuban Brothers. If your sleeping on the TV like me you'll have to catch up on the iplayer, and unfortunately episode 1 is gone, but episdoe 2 is there. Watch that ish!

Platform X Boiler Room

More lovely vibes from our mates over at Boiler Room. Seriously if your just jammin at home or whatever just pop the mix on for some heavy tunes from an all star ladies line up- bluku bluku! And don't forget you can watch live every Tuesday night! Just follow the link on the website.

Footgarms- Melissa

I'm sure you have all seen or own a pair of Vivienne Westood & Melissa plastic shoes-
Chic huh? I was really feeling these shoes, but I'm really not sure about Melissa shoes in general. I duno about plastic shoes (not even gona get into how environmentally friendly plastic is) it's more the 90's vibe they have about em. Anyone remember the glittery Jelly shoes from back in the day?
Mmmm sexual! Melissa are currently working with Vivienne Westwood, Jean Paul Gautier (both of which they have previously worked with in the 80's), Alexandre Herchcovitc and J Maskrey to name a few. Even tho the plastic fantatstic is bein endorsed by the big gals & boys in fashion I just can't help but see em as a bit tacky and cheap. What do you reckon? Here's some of their S/S 2010 collections.
 You see what I'm saying?

Cruise 2011

So for those that may not know Cruise collections are mini collections that brands put out between the S/S and A/W seasons to tide you over- so basically just a way to ensure interest and ringing tills. Well the Cruise collections to see you through that difficult time between A/W 2010 and S/S 2011 have started coming in.

First up we got Dior, shown in Shanghai. All very 60's, with the bouffant hair and Bardo styling- personally it's all a bit too cutesy and girly for me. But I gota hand it to Mr Galliano for his use of colours, not one rainbow colour left untouched!
Uncle Karl's next, showcasing Channel's latest in St Tropez. Again the majority of this collection is so girly it makes me wana walk around with a massive strap on just to show the world I'm not a soft talking, chore doing 1970's housewife. But outa the 80+ looks there were a few strong ones- well as strong as Uncle Karl can get without scaring himself.
Last one for the min is Bottega Veneta, not really a fashion house I get down with. Although they offer quite a fierce alternative to the aforementioned designers- it's all a bit androgynous for me, yeah I know I just moaned twice about girly collections but this is all a bit square (literally) for me. Again I've picked out my fave pieces that I would actually wear- to see the full collections go here.
