Paris Couture.

So today we have Elie Saab, Valentino and Jean Paul Gautier, exciting times!
So we'll look at Elie Saab first and as usual we got exactly what we expect, ridiculously luxurious red carpet dresses. This season he went a bit more subtle on the Hollywood glamor than usual, but there was still plenty of sparkles to make sure his dresses will be seen on red carpets around the world. Again we see the Neutral/Candy Floss/Pastel colour palette we've seen popping up all over the place, shame he chose to work with just a few dress shapes as it doesn't give him much opportunity to stand out- as style.com says 'it was just a bit too fantasy-prom to cut it in Couture week' OUCH!

Next up, Jean Paul Gautier and I gota say I'm a bit disappointed here. There are some beautiful pieces in this collection but overall it's just a bit, well bluegh, not the standard we are used to seeing. I've but the good looks and some of the bad ones in there for you.

And finally Valentino designed by Pier Paolo Piccioli and Maria Grazia Chiuri, and again disappointing! The first few looks were exciting and refreshing but it went a bit downhill from there. There were some real stand out pieces but unfortunately there were more what the fuck is that, a first year fashion student could do better pieces. As always the stand out pieces were the full length ball gowns so at least they got that right but come on guys, you can do better and you really must!
