Set in Harlem in 1987, it is the story of Claireece Precious Jones, a sixteen-year-old African-American girl born into a life no one would want.

Every once in a while and amazing trailer crosses your path, and you feel like it does something to you inside. You can't wait to watch it and can't wait to see how it makes you feel once you have. This is one of those.......

Based on the novel 'Push' by Sapphire, this films tells a harrowing story of a 16 year old girl already pregnant with her second child, both of which are fathered by her dad. Although it reflects a realistic story, it is not one story that makes up this film, instead it is a number of collaborations Sapphire witnessed as a social worker in Harlem, New York.

With an amazing cast including Paula Patton (Married to Robin Thicke) and Mariah Carey, (who looks as if she is about to show us all that she really can act!) I think, well more hope, that this film does really well in the UK because I think that this film raises a lot of questions about family and how we deal with relationships as young people.
