Russian Vogue 10th Anniversary Matrioshka Dolls

I didn't even know Russia had their own Vogue, so I was quite pleasantly surprised to see that they are celebrating their 10th Anniversary by collaborating with some heavy in the game designers including YSL, Martin Margiela, Dolce & Gabbana, Prada, Versace and Ralph Lauren.

“The designers sketches were realized by Russian craftsmen, who hand-painted the 50 centimeter dolls. “Every Matrioshka is unique and a piece of art in itself,” said Aliona Doletskaya, Russian Vogue’s editor-in-chief. “Installation, sculpture, objet d’art - you can call it however you wish.”

According to High Snobiety the dolls will be auctioned off on November 20th with proceeds going to charity. It's so nice when beautiful things are sold for charity instead of greed, although know one said who the charity was, probably Vogue's charity for staff who can't afford botox!
